PAST CONTINUOUS
We use the Past Continuous to describe activities or actions which were happening at a particular moment in the past.
AFFIRMATIVE SUBJECT + WAS/WERE + VERB+ING
He was eating pasta.
They were playing in the park.

She wasn't working yesterday.
They weren't taking photos.
